Snack time just got spooky and nutritious!

These adorable Kiwi Frankensteins are a playful way to celebrate Halloween while giving kids a fruit-filled treat. Assembling each one is a great chance to practice fine motor skills and kitchen confidence!

Ingredients:

  • Kiwi
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Edible candy eyes
  • 1–2 tablespoons chocolate chips or melting chocolate

Instructions:

  1. Slice the kiwi in half lengthwise. Using a small, sharp knife (adults only), peel away about two-thirds of the skin, leaving a strip at the top for “hair.”
  2. Melt the chocolate. With a toothpick, dab a little chocolate onto the backs of the candy eyes and stick them onto the kiwi.
  3. Use more melted chocolate and a toothpick or skewer to draw a spooky mouth and a small scar on the kiwi’s “face.”
  4. Break pretzel sticks in half and press one into each side of the kiwi “head” to make arms.
  5. Plate your creepy-cute creation and enjoy!
