Let your little one’s imagination run wild with this fun paper plate monster craft!

It’s a hands-on way to explore colors, textures, and facial expressions, all while building cutting and gluing skills. No two monsters will be the same!

Materials:

  • Paper plates
  • Paint or markers
  • Scissors (adult use only)
  • Glue (adult use only)
  • Googly eyes
  • Optional: pipe cleaners, pom-poms, glitter, stickers

Instructions:

  1. Paint or color a paper plate in your monster’s favorite shade—this will be your monster’s face! For even more fun, paint a second plate in a different color to cut features from. Let everything dry.
  2. Cut out monster features from the colored paper or second plate—think mouths, teeth, horns, arms, and more.
  3. Glue the features onto your monster’s face.
  4. Add googly eyes—just one or a bunch—to give your monster some personality.
  5. Finish with extra flair using pipe cleaners, pom-poms, glitter, or stickers for a truly unique creation!
