School\u2019s out! \u00a0But that doesn\u2019t mean your preschooler\u2019s education stops! \u00a0Summer is the perfect time to expand your home library, or even visit your local library! \u00a0Make a visit to your local library part of your weekly schedule, and help your child work their way up to 1000 books before kindergarten. \u00a0Checking out books at your library<\/a> can help you rotate the books this summer, and then you can buy your preschooler\u2019s favorites.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are some books to look for, at the library and online!\u00a0<\/span>Look for books that\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Build good character:<\/b><\/h4>\n

We\u2019re All Wonders<\/span><\/a> is inspired by the <\/span>bestseller <\/span>Wonder,<\/span><\/i> now a major motion picture. There is now a nationwide movement to Choose Kind. \u00a0\u201cParents and educators can introduce the importance of choosing kind to younger readers with this gorgeous picture book, featuring Auggie and Daisy on an original adventure, written and illustrated by R. J. Palacio.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In<\/span> Be Kind<\/span><\/a>, your young preschooler will learn how to help others feel better, stand up to bullies, and help make the world a better place. \u00a0They will learn how to be a good friend and recognize the need for kindness.<\/span><\/p>\n

Expand their world:<\/b><\/h4>\n

Help your child discover the world around them with<\/span> Around the World, a Follow the Trail Book<\/span><\/a>. \u00a0Help the animals find their home by tracing the trail. \u00a0Your child will find their inner-explorer with<\/span> The Little Explorer: A Pioneer Primer<\/span><\/a>. \u00a0Your preschooler will<\/span> \u201clearn all about the most influential explorers who searched the world far and wide in this engaging and colorful board book perfect for pioneers-in-training!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Will help them fall asleep:<\/b><\/h4>\n

If you\u2019re looking for new bedtime stories, these are great to keep on their nightstand. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Don\u2019t Blink<\/span><\/a> is a fun, interactive book for your procrastinating preschooler. \u00a0\u201c<\/span>Here’s how it works: if you can avoid getting to the end of this book, you can avoid bedtime, simple as that. (It’s a pretty sweet deal, actually.) But each time you blink, you have to turn a page. Those are just the rules. So whatever you do, DON’T BLINK!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
