Model Positive Thinking<\/span><\/h4>\n

Children, and especially preschoolers, pick up on what their parents do! Begin practicing positive thinking in your own life, even on the tough days, and your child will start picking it up, too.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Talk About Morals and Values<\/span><\/h4>\n

Instilling positive morals and values in your child will help create positivity in their life. Consider ways you can begin teaching them things like commitment, responsibility, and the difference between right and wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n

Promote Thankfulness<\/span><\/h4>\n

Cultivating an environment of gratefulness will help your child avoid comparison and stay positive! Redirect negative conversations you hear by sharing what you are thankful for with your preschooler and asking them to do the same.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Display Reminders<\/span><\/h4>\n

To help combat the negative thoughts and bad days that are sure to come, hang up positive reminders around your home. Finding a cute sign that encourages your child and calls out their worth can become their mantra on the hard days and remind them to stay positive.<\/span><\/p>\n

Encourage Them<\/span><\/h4>\n

Children who grow up in encouraging environments are more likely to develop self-confidence and resilience! Take the time to encourage your preschooler, even when they make mistakes. When they are tempted to begin thinking negatively, they will recall the encouraging words you have spoken over them.<\/span><\/p>\n
