Read Across America Day is an annual celebration inaugurated by the National Education Association created to encourage children to read.<\/p>\n<p>After students yelled and called for Rowdy to come on stage, our APK classes read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Clothesline-Clues-Sports-People-Play\/dp\/1580896030\/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2V64FSB51792O&amp;keywords=clothesline+clues+to+sports+people+play&amp;qid=1583180513&amp;sprefix=clothesline+clu%2Caps%2C173&amp;sr=8-1\"><em>Clothesline Clues to Sports People Play<\/em><\/a> by Kathryn Helling with Rowdy. We also learned and danced to new, silly songs! We all enjoyed our time at the Frisco Library!<\/p>\n<p>You and your child can visit the Ready to Read Railroad together! The Kids \u2018R\u2019 Kids <a href=\"https:\/\/friscolibrary.com\/librarytrain\/\">Ready to Read Railroad<\/a> at the Frisco Library is an educational space designed for children ages 5 and under and their parents to engage in active learning together.<\/p>\n<p>The Ready to Read Railroad offers a wide variety of activities that have been professionally designed to encourage reading, writing, vocabulary, letter and number recognition, and narrative skills, as well as age appropriate hands-on offerings that introduce science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills. Ninety percent of a child\u2019s brain develops within the first 5 years of life. Children who engage in purposeful play in their earliest years are proven to display greater comprehension, vocabulary, and cognitive skills by the time they enter kindergarten.<\/p>\n<p>Kids \u2018R\u2019 Kids provides a secure, nurturing, and educational environment for your child to bloom into a responsible, considerate, and contributing member of society. Our students experienced our mission hands-on during our field trip to the Frisco Library!<\/p>\n<h2>DID YOU KNOW\u2026<\/h2>\n<p>\u2026that now there&#8217;s a whole new virtual library for you and your family to take advantage of?
