Last year has gone, and we\u2019re now living in 2020. As you reflect over this past year, there are probably a few things that you would like to improve on for this coming year. As you\u2019re thinking through your resolutions, consider these three.<\/span><\/p>\n

Go on a tech fast periodically.<\/b> In our fast-paced world, technology is both a blessing and a curse. When used as a tool, it enriches our lives and allows us to be more productive individuals; however, it is easy to let technology take priority over more important things. Consider taking a tech fast for one evening a week as you seek to build relationships with those in your family. Use this tech-free time to spend quality time with your children!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Read to your kids.<\/b> Reading to your kids is awesome for so many reasons. It builds your relationship and trust with your child as you read them bedtime stories. The comfort that your presence and attention brings to them at bedtime is just what they need to feel loved. Kids also learn so much language comprehension from hearing books read aloud. Build your child\u2019s emotional and intellectual strength as well as your relationship with your child as you read books together this year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Simplify your life.<\/b> Clear your schedule of anything that is distracting you from living the life that you really want. Declutter your house so that you can have more time to spend with your children instead of cleaning and reorganizing your house all the time. You can also declutter your schedule so your family will be free to engage in the things that bring joy and peace to your lives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2020, decide what matters to you, and make it a priority to do whatever it takes to make good use of the time that we have with those that we love. <\/span><\/p>\n
