It\u2019s time to shed your winter coat and head outdoors to enjoy that springtime sunshine with your preschool child. Here are a few ideas to try throughout the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

DIY Flower Pot<\/b><\/h3>\n

This activity is fun for both children and parents. Head to your local craft or hardware store and pick up a small, neutral colored flower pot. With some colorful paints and a few brushes, you can transform your flower pot into whatever you\u2019d like. Next, fill the pot with soil and bury the seed of your favorite flower in the center. Add an extra layer of soil on top, dampen the soil with water, and you\u2019ll have your own tiny flower garden before you know it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Springtime Scavenger Hunt\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

Make a list of things to search for in your community, such as specific birds, insects, and different types of flowers. Head to the park or find a local trail, and start searching! Wishing you could hold onto the memories you make forever? Take a photo each time you find something on the list, and then create a scrapbook to add to throughout the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sprinkler Party\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

Temperatures may be heating up this spring, but you can transform your yard into a waterpark by simply turning on the sprinklers. Play freeze tag, have a dance party, or set up a slip and slide using plastic sheeting, landscape anchor pins, and baby oil.<\/span><\/p>\n

Visit an Orchard or Market.<\/b><\/h3>\n

Find a local orchard or fresh produce market near you<\/span><\/a> and enjoy the natural beauty your community has to offer. From strawberries to sweet corn, you can find a large variety of farm fresh fruits and vegetables. Additionally, many farms hold Easter egg hunts every April for children. So, gather up your family, and enjoy the experience of collecting fresh produce to take home.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beautiful days should be spent outside, so take advantage of the spring weather and try out one of these family-friendly activities with your preschool child.<\/span><\/p>\n
